Don't ask me whether I am going to miss my kids' soccer game, swim meet, TaeKwonDo Testing, school event, what-have-you to do work. It simply isn't going to happen. There are more than enough hours in the day to accomplish a productive amount of work and still leave time for your family. I say to those dads who miss vacations, miss events, don't go to their kids' school for lunch or whatever - "When will you spend time with them, when they graduate high-school, college?" Cat Stevens said it best, "You know I'm gonna be like him, yeah, I'm gonna be just like him."
I have been married to a wonderful woman for more than 13 years, and every day seems like it just started. We learn more and more about each other every day. I can honestly say that I am the luckiest man in the world, to have a woman like that love me. My wife started a new career this year, so we are working through the adjustment period of her new schedule and commitments, but I feel like it is a very positive thing, for her, and for our family.
